Once upon an Easter chapter 2

It’s 5 am in the morning and Ramdas comes calling. You really had to know the guy. He woke me up by throwing tiny bean seeds at my bedroom window.  I sprung out of bed before he woke up the whole household.

It was also bird-catching season. The morning air was filled with different sounds of birds singing and chirping.  And just before sunrise you heard the cocks crowing around the neighborhood; it is a festive time for all birds.

Ramdas and I plunged ourselves into the surrounding fields with high grass.  He already had a bird in a cage, attached to that cage was a mini cage with a trap door.  Ramdas also had some poles stuck with chewing gum remains.

We waited as Ramadas’ bird in the cage whistled away. We were hoping his singing would attract other birds like a Kiskadee or a Towa-towa.  We  hoped to trap one or two in the little cage or on the gummy poles.

Once Upon an Easter chapter 1part 2

By the time we got home from cricket, Choe Chan’s mother had prepared for us some Chinese cakes with some cold sorrel drink.  We ate then left and went to the back of my home to start making our own cricket bats.  Sometimes, we made them out of old coconut branches that had fallen from the trees and at other times out old pieces of wood we found around our yard. The start of the Easter holidays.

Once upon an Easter

 CHAPTER 1: EASTER VACATION

School is on early Easter vacation.

The Campbellville Heroes as we fondly call ourselves were racing home on our bikes.  My bike “Yellow Bird” was an old model ladies bike fondly called a “preggie”  with a make- shift wooden bar.  On this wooden bar I towed my good friend Choe Chan.

Riding home, we came to  a screeching halt by the shaveice man for a snow cone with colorful sweet syrup.  This would cool us down from the hot sticky sun. We hoped to meet Ramdas and Suzie at the D. Y. C. playground.

Finally we got to the playground but the Subryanville Iguanas had got there before us and had all intentions of “hawking” the field.

With nothing else to do but wait, we settled under the huge guinep tree with its large branches and cool tropical breeze blowing. Ramdas however saved the day.Would you believe that he had a flour bag full of mangoes? We ate as much as we could.  Now it was barging time. We dealt the rest to the Iguanas to get them off the cricket pitch.

Day in the life of Abby, chapter 5 part 3 Nostalgia

She was indeed the most beautiful girl eyes have ever did see. In due time after they got to know each other better and drew closer they became lovers at a very tender age. Clarence got to know that she had a very special body, with its own particular scent. This scent drove him mad with constant desire to become one with her. There was stillness when they touched all one heard was hearts beating; to this rhythm, they made love. They would lie in bed for hours and even when not touching a cross invasion of their minds caused tingling excitement that left them breathless. Romance put into an art form he listening to her body’s vibration waiting for her to reach her peak and her taking him higher till they reached together a higher plain then ultimately, the pair exploded in organism screaming loud into the surrounding air. Yet they were still young and as the sun went down and the evening grew cool they would join the other kids to sing and play ring games. Then as the crowd disperse they would go hand in hand into the moon light love so young so full of vigor.
