The West Indian American Day Carnival symbolizes the end of summer and the beginning of fall. It’s also a time when Labor is recognized. Wanting to be part of the festivities of the day I completed my labor then headed for the Parade. Pushed my way on to the packed number 4 express Sub Way train to Brooklyn. At Franklyn Avenue I made my stop the platform was shaking from the heavy bass sounds coming from the big speakers carried on the float parade trucks. I exited joining the masses of humanity in every color, music, food, dance and merriment. Here are a few of the pictures I captured.
