It suddenly struck him as strange that there was no Stella to greet him. Where was his wife where were his usual hug and embrace and long lasting kiss. What’s happening? Thorn was anticipating their lovemaking. He would after kissing her rush to the shower to rid himself of all the dust and grime on his body from work in the forest and his long journey home. The first blast of the shower would always be cold and have him shiver then the water would warm up from the heat it acquired from the sun.
